Corrosive destruction due to included water
It is very difficult to decrease the water absorption of resin to
below 0.2%.wt even if a dryer is used. This means that 200 cc of
water is included in 1 ton of resin. When the feeding section is
filled with resin pellets, all the absorbed water will become high-temperature,
high-pressure steam flowing into the cylinder, which causes corrosive
destructions of the screw and the cylinder as well as a molding
defect. |
