Draft for sprue
The conventional design of flow paths typically requires that a
draft of 4 degrees be provided for the sprue. In practice, however,
no problem arises even if the angle is set to 1 degree. If the draft
is set to 1 degree when the gate diameter is 4 mm and the sprue
length 50 mm, the weight can be decreased by as much as 40% compared
with the case in which the draft is 4 degrees. A review of the draft
will lead to shortening the runner. |
